GRV Business Management Academy has conducted Industrial visit to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited situating at Electronic division, Mysore road, Bangalore, on the above mentioned date for the academic year 2019-20 where faculties Mrs. Kokila.N, Mr. Nagaraj Kini and Mrs. Lakshmamma accompanied the students.

Industrial visit is a part of professional courses, during which students visit companies/industry and get insight of on the internal working environment of the company. Industry visits sensitize students to the practical challenges that organizations face in the business world.

Firstly students were introduced with the history of industry and the products manufactured by BHEL. Next the students were taken to the manufacturing division of solar power plant units and explained by the General Manager of BHEL.

Students were also been introduced with the Insulator, a unit used to resist the flow of electric current.

The next division introduced to students was the manufacturing unit of quartz and alumina and filter press division, drying and shaping division, glazing division, assembly division and finally testing division.

Outcome

• Students got opportunity for interactive learning experience in class as well as outside class.
• With this industry visit students are better able to identify their perspective towards the working of overall organization function.
• Industrial visit gave students an opportunity to increase the interpersonal communication and skills.
• Students became more aware towards the industry practices and regulations during the industrial visit.
