The NSS Orientation program organized by GRV BMA College was held in the GRV Center of Excellence campus at Arasanahalli, on 30th May 2022 at 9:30 AM. The program was attended by the Director of GRV BMA Mr. Rahul Mansabdar, The Principal of GRV BMA Mrs. Jayanthi G, The NSS Officer of GRV BMA Ms. Kavitha A, and the Chief Guest of the day Dr. Poornima Jogi, the State NSS implementation Officer at state cell Karnataka.
The program commenced with the chief guest addressing all the students and speaking about the importance of the NSS organization. Further, the Principal of GRV BMA and the NSS Officer of GRV BMA spoke a few words about the student's role in the NSS organization. After the session was over, all the volunteers were taken out to promote cleanliness by cleaning the village premises. Once the cleaning work was done, all the volunteers were provided with lunch. Further, all the students went out to invite the villagers for the cultural program. More than 40 village school kids and many villagers came to witness various cultural performances given by the students of GRV.
The program was concluded by the students viewing the beautiful lake of Arasanahalli and learning a lot about nature. Everyone enjoyed the program wholeheartedly and gained colossal knowledge about social service and its importance.
What is NSS?
NSS volunteers work in rural areas, adopted villages and school to the serving the cause of society through survey, education and health awareness program. This study involves in identifying the importance, aims and objectives of NSS in higher education which in turn create social responsibility among the students.
