A Mini Start-up Day was conducted under the Con-Quest Platform on 21/04/2026 at GRV BMA College. The program aimed to encourage students to explore entrepreneurial ideas, develop business skills, and understand the fundamentals of starting and managing a start-up.
Prior to this activity, students attended the YIBE Speaker Session on "Yuva Clarity and Decision Making When Starting Your Career" on 18/04/2026 at the Confederation of Indian Industry, Indiranagar. The session was delivered by Gopinath K, Managing Trustee of Divyang Sports Academy. He is a para-athlete and entrepreneur who has represented India at the Paris Paralympics 2024 and other international events. His inspiring journey highlighted resilience, leadership, and empowerment. Students actively participated in the session, interacted with the speaker, and gained valuable insights into entrepreneurship, career clarity, and effective decision-making.
The knowledge and exposure gained from this session motivated students to actively participate in the Mini Start-up Day. They applied their learning by presenting innovative business ideas across various domains. Some of the creative ideas included "Re-Wear: From Memories to Modern Fashion," focusing on sustainable fashion by redesigning old clothes; "Healthy Eating Shouldn't Take Twenty Minutes," emphasizing quick and nutritious meal solutions; "Aesthetic Stationery Business," highlighting creative and visually appealing stationery products; and "Fresh Sip," introducing refreshing and healthy beverage concepts.
Students explained their business concepts, target audience, unique value propositions, and potential impact on society. The event provided a platform to showcase creativity, problem-solving abilities, and practical thinking. It also emphasized key entrepreneurial aspects such as idea generation, planning, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
The program encouraged peer learning, allowing students to learn from each other's ideas and presentations. It helped boost confidence, improve presentation skills, and foster a spirit of collaboration and healthy competition.
At the end of the program, prizes were awarded to the winning teams in recognition of their outstanding ideas, creativity, and presentation skills. The winners were appreciated, and the awards served as motivation for all participants to continue developing their entrepreneurial abilities.
Overall, the Con-Quest Mini Start-up Day, supported by the insights gained from the YIBE Speaker Session, was an engaging and inspiring initiative that helped students of GRV BMA College understand the importance of entrepreneurship, innovation, and skill development in shaping a successful future.
