The Annual sports meet was held on Tuesday 05th February 2019, at Ganga Ground, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. Mr. Gururaj Mansabdar - President GRV Group of Institutions was the chief guest for the sports meet. Mrs. Poonam Gururaj - Secretary GRV Group of Institutions, Mr. Munir Ahmed - Director Academics GRV BMA, Ms. Megha, Ms. Priya - Principal GRV PU College and Mrs. Kalpana - Principal GRV Public School, were the dignitaries who made their esteem presence in the annual sports meet.

The event began with a formal welcome speech by the student representative Ms. Adeeba Khanum and followed by a badging ceremony convened by Ms. Vidhi Mehrotra - Asst. Professor GRV BMA.

The dignitaries came forward for a traditional custom of lighting of lamp. They were honored with a general salute with a March Past along with the band set group. Sports head Ms. Ayesha Saba and Mr. Tousif Ahmed headed with the Olympic Torch towards the dignitaries and the chief guest declared the sports meet.

Students entered into the spirit of the event with the oath being administered by Mrs. Geetha - Asst. Prof. Dept. of Commerce. Later students displayed their marching themes with their Hoardings, Props and Slogans. Followed by the speech delivered by Mr. Gururaj Mansabdar and Mr. Munir Ahmed about the importance of sports.

Students also competed in various sports events such as Throw Ball, Volley Ball, Badminton, Skipping, Kabbadi, Short Put, 100 Meter, 200 Meter, 400 Meter races and relay. Once the races began the atmosphere of the event was filled with cheering and encouragements for the participants.

Most waited time of the event, prize distribution to all the prize winners. Mrs. Ashwini.M.Patil - Asst. Prof. Dept. of Commerce announced the names of the prize winners. The winners were awarded with certificates and mementoes by the dignitaries. A rolling shield for the best marching team and best theme display was awarded. The themes were anti-drug team, save environment and child labour. The rolling shield was to the 'anti-drug' group.

The Annual sports meet was concluded by proposing the vote of thanks by the student president Ms. Noureen. The event was concluded by paying homage to our National Anthem.
